- Important Notes
1.How to Open and Close Acrylic Windows
For bringing fresh air into the camper, you may open the windows from the inside.
There are two main types of acrylic windows: “push-out (pop-up)” and “sliding” types.
To open a push-out window, slowly turn all the stoppers attached to both sides and the bottom to unlock them. Then gently push the window out to open it.
Once the window is open, lower the mesh screen located at the top of the window frame to prevent insects from entering the interior.
To close the window, you must first unlock the window arm.
Gently push the window to release the arm lock, then slowly close the window. Tighten all window locks on the frame to secure the window and ensure it won’t open or close.
The key point is
Gently open and close the window.
Sliding windows can be operated by unlocking the window lock and slide the window sideways.
2.Characteristics of the Acrylic Window
Acrylic windows for campers primarily feature a “double-pane structure” known for its excellent insulation. They are lightweight, shatter-resistant, and offer better insulation and soundproofing than glass, while also being less prone to condensation. However, a disadvantage is that they can easily get scratched or broken if used incorrectly.
Acrylic windows (acrylic double-pane windows) are primarily manufactured by European companies. Due to the weak yen, importing them into Japan now makes them quite expensive, so do handle them ge
3.Important Notes
1-Please handle windows gently. Incorrect use of plastic components may cause them to break.
2-Opening windows too roughly may cause them to come off their hinges. Please only open windows to the point where the window arm lock engages.
3-Driving with windows open may cause them to come off due to vibration. Before driving, ensure all windows are closed and locked.
4-Do not attempt to open frozen windows during winter months, as the acrylic may crack.
In the past, issues such as:
・Opening the window too far caused it to come off.
・Closing the window without unlocking it first caused it to break.
・Forgetting to lock the window and driving off caused it to fly out.
At the time of rental, we go over these handling instructions, so we kindly ask that all users gather at the time of rental to receive the explanation.
