From reservation to departure and rental

Step 1: reservation request

Please select the vehicle type, rental start date and time, and rental options, and send it to us using the Reservation Request Form.
We will confirm your request and reply to your e-mail address.

At this point, the reservation is tentative.
Please allow 1-3 business days for a response to be sent.

Step 2: Deposit and reservaion completion

Payment will be made by credit card
Please pay by the due date via the payment URL that will be sent to you by e-mail.

Full payment of the rental date is within 2 months of the confirmed reservation date
For 3 months or longer, a deposit of 20,000 yen is required to make a tentative reservation, and the balance is due 1 month prior to the start of the rental period.

Step 3: Rental begins

We will meet at New Chitose Airport
The meeting place is near bus stop No. 30 on the 1st floor of New Chitose Airport domestic flight or near the arrival exit on the 2nd floor of international flight.

After checking your passport and driver’s license, you will be briefed on the handling of the vehicle.

After that, guests will be ready to begin their journey.

Step 4: Return with a full tank of fuel

Please make sure to fill up the fuel tank before returning the vehicle and arrive at the return location by the designated return time
A check (about 10 minutes) is conducted to ensure that no items have been forgotten and that there are no vehicle problems, and if everything is in good shape, the return is complete
Afterwards,  we will take you to New Chitose Airport via free bus service to the airport.


Non Operation Charges (NOC)

In the event of an accident, theft, breakdown, defacement, etc., and the vehicle needs to be repaired or cleaned, the following amounts will be charged as compensation for the period of time during which the vehicle is in operation

  • If the vehicle is returned to us in a drivable condition: 55,000 yen/one way
  • If the vehicle is not returned to us due to inability to drive: 88,000 yen/one way
  • The loss of use waiver during repair period days: Seasonal fee/number of repair days (up to 30 days) the loss of use waiver

Please be aware that the cost of a single accident can be very high, so please be cautious when driving


Distance restrictions

We have a set distance of 250 km per day

  • (Example) 250km x 5 rental days = 1,250km

The distance traveled will be calculated at the time the vehicle is returned, and if the set distance is exceeded, an additional fee of 7,700 yen (tax included) will be charged for every 100 km thereafter of the excess distance traveled


Cancellation Policy

Official reservation – 30 days or more prior to the day of rental20,000 yen (tax included)

※ If you cancel your reservation, we will charge you a handling fee of 20,000 yen.


Refunds

Refunds will be made after deduction of credit card transaction fees, bank transfer fees, and overseas remittance fees

If you change the rental or return date and time after your reservation has been officially completed (after payment), a handling fee of 5,500 yen (tax included) will be charged.


Schedule changes

If you shorten your itinerary after the rental, the difference will not be refunded.
If you wish to extend your itinerary, you may do so for an additional fee, as long as the same vehicle is not reserved by another guest.

If you miss the scheduled rental date and time due to flight delays or other reasons, you will need to reschedule your rental. In such cases, we may not be able to start the rental on the next day or the day after that due to peak season or regular holidays. When rescheduling a rental for the customer’s convenience, we will not cover the cost of lodging or refund the difference in the rental price or other expenses.

In some cases, a reserved vehicle may not be available for rental due to a sudden accident breakdown.
If a replacement vehicle is available, you may be required to refund the difference or pay the difference.
If no alternative vehicle is available, the entire rental fee will be refunded.
However, we will not be responsible for the cost of your accommodations or flights.


Vehicle Rental and Return Locations

Vehicles can be rented and returned at the Airport Parking, a parking lot near New Chitose Airport.

For domestic flights, take the free Airport Parking bus from bus lane 30 on the 1st floor of the Domestic Terminal of New Chitose Airport.

Passengers coming from overseas are met near the exit on the 2nd floor of international flights and take the free shuttle bus with us.

Passengers coming by their own cars can park one of their own cars for free at the Airport Parking.


Pet Ride Along Service

Precautions for accompanying pets
Safety measures: Pets do not need to be kept in a cage, but please take safety measures such as wearing a leash while driving.
Prevention of dirt and scratches: Please use a pet sheet or bed sheet inside the vehicle to prevent feces and urine from staining or scratches from the pet.

Please note that in the event of dog scratches, damage to seats or other parts of the vehicle, pee or feces in the vehicle, or bad odors, you will be asked to pay the actual cost of restoring the vehicle to its original condition.

  • Please bring a certificate of rabies vaccination and a certificate of vaccination of at least 5 mixed vaccines within 1 year.
  • Please bathe and brush your pet in advance to get rid of fleas and ticks and to prevent fur stains.
  • When letting your pet ride in the car, please wash (or wipe) its feet outside and make sure the inside of the car is clean.
  • Pets that chew on or scratch the equipment in the car, or soil from their feces and urine will be charged for repairs and compensation for the absence of the car.
  • Please dispose of pet feces and urine at your own risk and do not leave them in the vehicle.

Prohibited acts

  • No shoes with dirt inside the vehicle. (Acts that stain the floor inside the car)
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the car. (Leaving the smell of cigarettes inside the car)
  • Cooking in the car is limited to boiling water. Cooking that causes odors or smoke, such as baking, stir-frying, and casserole dishes, is prohibited.

  • (Winter) Opening frozen windows increases the risk of breakdowns, so it is prohibited to open the windows during the winter.

  • Please contact us in the event of an accident or breakdown. Failure to notify the company immediately will result in the vehicle not being covered by the exemption from liability and insurance.
  • If the rental period is longer than 2 days, daily inspections must be performed by the renter.

  • In the event of stains on bed mats, seats, floor mats, etc., a charge of 3,300 yen (tax included) per location will be assessed.
  • We are not responsible for accidents caused by malfunctions in the installation of options; please install and make a final check by yourself.
  • Please refer to the attached “Chapter 5” of the Rental Agreement regarding traffic violations such as parking violations.
  • Please obey the legal speed limit and do not drive faster than 80km/h on highways, as it is very dangerous.
  • If you are going to be late for the return time, please be sure to contact us. If you are 30 minutes late, you will be charged an additional one hour fee.
  • Please be aware of traffic congestion and road conditions, and return with plenty of time to spare. We appreciate your cooperation.

Notes on Vehicle Equipment, Rental Options, and Bedding

Please clean the vehicle equipment and rental options after use.

  • Stains on the interior of the vehicle due to eating, drinking, etc.
  • Wiping stains with bedding. (We have prepared rags for wiping stains separately, so please use those.)
  • To be used as a lap blanket during bonfires and BBQs.
  • Use to prevent scratching by pets.
  • Do not put your pet’s feces, urine, or fur on the bedding, or put it under the pet’s cage.

If the rental bedding is soiled or punctured by any of the above mentioned rules, or if the rental bedding is lost, a fee of 2,200 yen per item will be charged.


General insurance and collision damage waiver plan

(1) Cases in which basic insurance does not apply
  • In the event of an accident in which the insured did not follow the prescribed procedures such as contacting the police or the company (a police report and a certificate of accident are required for insurance coverage).
  • Damage caused by nuisance (illegal) parking

  • Driving by an undeclared driver or co-driver
  • Subletting or renting a vehicle
  • Driving without a license (including driving under a suspended driver’s license or in violation of the type of vehicle that may be driven)
  • In the event of an unauthorized settlement
  • In the event that the vehicle is used for various tests or competitions, or is used for towing or pushing another vehicle.
  • Other accidents that fall under the exemption items specified in the Rental Terms and Conditions (Terms and Conditions of Lease)
  • Accidents caused by willful misconduct
  • Loss or damage of keys
  • Damage to property owned, used or controlled by the customer
  • Damage caused by natural disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis, etc.)
  • Theft due to parking with the keys in the vehicle or without locking the vehicle
  • Damage caused by installation or improper installation of a carrier, child seat, or junior seat
  • Damage to a vehicle when driven on a road other than a roadway, such as a beach, riverside, or forest (accident on a road other than a maintained and controlled road)
  • Repair expenses incurred due to a mistake in fuel type at the time of refueling

  • Accidents occurring after the return time without notification
  • Accidents that are not reported to us at the scene of the accident
  • Accidents that occur on public highways at speeds above the legal speed limit or in excess of the speed limit
  • Accidents occurring on highways at speeds over 80 km/h or in excess of the speed limit
  • Repair costs of buildings and damaged vehicles, and all other costs of accidents that occur in coin-operated parking lots or drive-throughs that have awnings at the entrances.
  • All building repair costs, damaged vehicle repair costs, and other costs for accidents that occur in height-restricted tunnels or covered parking lots.
  • Repair costs for a damaged vehicle that broke down while driving at a low speed (20 km/h) or more during construction, on unpaved roads, or on rough roads.
  • Accidents caused by collision breakdown when backing up without a person standing to check the safety of the rear of the vehicle
  • Accidents caused by unreasonably long distance driving exceeding the set distance of 250 km per day and night driving with lights on
  • Repair expenses for damage caused by stepping stones when driving without a distance of at least 100 meters from the vehicle in front
  • Full cost of replacing or repairing a window when a window is blown out due to driving with the window open or not locking the window, and full cost of damage to surrounding property caused by a window being blown out
  • Replacement and repair costs of windows if insect repellent, insecticide, or alcohol sanitizer is used on the camping car’s acrylic windows
  • Repair costs for water or other objects flushed down the sink during the winter months when water sinks are not allowed to be used

In the event of an accident that falls under any of the above categories, a lump-sum credit card payment of 400,000 yen will be required upon return of the vehicle, and the cost of repairing the vehicle and property will be settled at a later date.

In order to receive compensation for damage caused by an unidentified hit-and-run driver or car theft, a traffic accident certificate from the police is required.
